Feral Media have created a mix which is the second installment in the Pyramid Scheme websites new mixtape series.

The mix features a slew of great local and international artists including Gentleforce, Mr. Maps, Galapagoose, Panoptique Electrical, Busdriver, Odd Nosdam and many more.

We have also included some choice cuts from upcoming Feral releases including tracks from the Strain of Origin II compilation and a wonderful remix of Underlapper by our man Option Command (aka Broken Chip) which will be featured on Underlapper’s third and final single from their 2011 album Softly Harboured.

Underlapper have turned in a stellar remix of Sydney outfit Telafonica’s track To Me, as part of the latter’s ongoing remix series.

Gentleforce (aka Sydney Producer Eli Murray) has just dropped a new mini-album titled Looking Through New Window on London label Exotic Pylon.

The album contains an epic 30 minute piece recorded live at Sydney’s Serial Space as part of the Refraction event in late 2010. Head over to the Exotic Pylon website and grab a download or limited edition cassette, and check out an excerpt from the album below.

Haunts is a new project featuring Matt and Greg from Underlapper and renowned cellist Peter Hollo (Raven/Fourplay).

Ahead of their second ever live show the trio sat down with Stu Buchanan on FBi radio’s New Weird Australia program to chat about the project and record an exclusive live to air set. Both the interview and live set have been uploaded as part of the New Weird Australia podcast series which can be downloaded here

You can also catch some of the action from the Feral Media hosted gig at Sydney’s Dirty Shirlows in this wonderful video put together by the lovely folk at The Pyramid Scheme. The video features footage of all performers on the night including Making, Thomas William vs Scissor Lock and Simo Soo.

As 2011 draws to a close we thought we would document some of our favourite Australian releases from the past 12 months all wrapped up in a nice little mixtape.

The mix includes tracks from some of Feral’s 2011 releases as well as tracks from Feral friends and contemporaries.

As we enter into the season of giving we here at Feral Media have a special gift for you.

Hinterlandt Presents: Through The Motions is our latest release and is available as free download from the Feral Bandcamp store.

Through The Motions is a curated compilation evolving around the Hinterlandt track Motion, taken from his album Migration Motion Movement released earlier this year.

A couple of months back Hinterlandt (aka German-born musician Jochen Gutsch) asked fellow Australian artists AFXJIM, Broken Chip, Godswounds, Lawrence English, Puzahki, Seaworthy, Simo Soo and Telafonica to create new pieces based on a handful of tiny sound snippets from the original track.
The resulting compilation is breathtaking and the inividual tracks are as diverse as the artists themselves.

Underlapper have released the second single from their latest album Softly Harboured. The single is available as a free download from the Feral bandcamp site here, and includes remixes of the title track by Telafonica, Loopsnake and Ben Kinsman, as well as a bonus remix of album track Kandos by Collarbones.

Underlapper have curated the latest podcast in the Post-Rock Paper Scissors podcast series on US website The Silent Ballet. The podcast includes an interview with Greg Stone from the band as well as tracks/remixes chosen by him from artists including Skeletons, Extra Life, World’s End Girlfriend and Feral artists Gentleforce and Comatone.
